“I have cared for you since you were born.  Yes, I carried you before you were born.  I will be your God throughout your lifetime-until your hair is white with age.  I made you and I will care for you.  I will carry you along and I will save you.” Isaiah 46:3-4

We believe that serving God is timeless.  The purpose He has for our lives should continue to be used for His Glory, even as a Senior Saint. “Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord” – Leviticus 19:32

Senior Saints is a ministry to and of adults age 55 and older. Many persons in the group have faithfully served in the church for 30 years and more, and though they may have retired from their professions, they have certainly not retired from ministering. At times, being aged can present unique opportunities, but God created us and has promised to care for us throughout our lifetime. . Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength is spent.” Psalm 71:9.

Our ministry gives senior adults a place to continue to grow in their faith and to show the wisdom they have achieved through experience. Our Senior Saints program encourages them to continue their ministry by offering regular fellowship with other senior adults and mentoring opportunities with younger generations. You will find senior saints enthusiastically serving in almost every area of the church from the psalmody to prayer to outreach and even counseling efforts. Our senior saints ministry exists to strengthen and encourage a community of senior adults and equip them to reach, teach, minister, and fellowship.

The senior ministry is perhaps one of the most exciting ministries of the church as they take an active part in serving in the church and take frequent trips to various places including St. Mathews Day Care Centre and the Yellow Elder Senior Citizen’s Home through partnership. Don’t miss out on any of the fun or fellowship that our senior saints ministry provides! Each month the seniors meet after a Sunday evening service for food, fun and fellowship. Invite your friends and join us for our next fellowship. Our desire is not to treat you like a visitor, but like family. We love and care for each other.

It is wonderful to know that as long as we are in this season of life, God is still working within us. “…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Phil 1:6. So, as we gather together for any of our events, we can be sure of God’s continued blessings and growth in our own lives.  We encourage you to come and join the Senior Saints.

The Senior Saints Ministry meets every 4th Saturday @ 4:00 pm.

Persons wishing to volunteer with the Seniors’  Saints Ministry should be prepared for an exciting experience while investing their time, effort and energy to developing the Seniors’ Ministry. This way, we are continuously able to provide a variety of benefits and spiritual guidance to our Senior Members.
